In fact, I reallty thought it was an *old* site (a very old one): from the era of "we don't really know anything about wesite design yet". The different look also makes for a jarring effect when moving between integrated sites. 43whatsits sites look clean, listsofbests almost (that page header looks ugly though) and allconsuming looks like a left-over that doesn't belong at all. If these sites are meant to be wholly integrated, there should be some sort of 'master design' that ties them together, where each site could have its own variation on the theme without being so different that it looks like it doesn't belong.
